MaoDesign Terms of Use

By installing or using MaoDesign, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you disagree, do not use the app.

1. Service

MaoDesign is an Android app for opening, creating, and editing embroidery designs. It supports text, image, and freehand stroke workflows, layers and threads, simulation, saving, exporting, and sharing. Publicly advertised design formats for opening are DST, HUS, JEF, PEC, PES, and XXX. Some formats or operations may preserve less metadata than the source.

The service may evolve, fix defects, change limits, or remove features while respecting acquired rights and applicable law.

2. Account

Core features can be used without an account. Google sign-in is optional. You are responsible for Google account security and activity on your device. Do not access another person’s account or data.

Delete a MaoDesign account under Profile > Delete account; see the deletion page. Account deletion does not automatically remove local files or cancel Google Play subscriptions.

3. Free and Premium

The free plan is ad-supported and may enforce limits, including up to 3 favorites. Premium may remove ads and expand text, image, font, and favorite limits as displayed on the subscription screen.

Monthly or annual subscriptions are charged and renewed by Google Play until canceled. The checkout controls the valid price, period, trial, and terms. Cancel under Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Access continues according to Google Play rules and applicable law.

4. Your files and content

You retain rights to files, text, images, and designs you use. You grant only the technical permission needed to open, edit, render, save, and export locally according to your actions.

You represent that you may use the content and are responsible for copyright, trademarks, privacy, and other third-party rights. Do not use the app for illegal, malicious, or infringing content.

5. App license

You receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use MaoDesign. Do not bypass payments or limits, exploit vulnerabilities, interfere with services, redistribute unauthorized modified versions, or harm others.

6. Machine safety

Preview and simulation are aids. Embroidery formats have limits and machines may interpret commands differently. Before final production, verify dimensions, hoop, thread, needle, and fabric, and perform a test stitch. Keep backups of important files.

7. Third-party services

Google/Firebase, Google Play, and Unity LevelPlay/IronSource may provide authentication, diagnostics, Analytics, payment, review, and advertising. Their surfaces are also subject to provider terms.

8. Availability and liability

The app is provided as available. We seek stability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every file or machine, or complete absence of errors. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect loss caused by misuse, missing backups, or production without testing. These Terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

9. Changes and contact

Online access may be restricted for fraud, abuse, attacks, or legal requirements. Material changes will be published here and may be announced in the app. Brazilian law applies without removing mandatory protections in the consumer’s place of residence.
